Late last month marked the occasion of the ninth annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Season, with 160 events in 19 languages held all over the planet to celebrate the art form.

A record 3203 photographers from 69 countries cobbled together their own pinhole camera, which requires only a small, dark container with a tiny hole on one side with some photosensitive paper on the other.

Results from the latest event are now available to peruse in an online gallery, which can be viewed at www.pinholeday.org Apparently Kiwis love pinhole photography, too!

For those who missed out on making their own camera, the next annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day takes place April 25, 2010.
