Two new printers for professional and advanced photographers were recently unveiled by Canon, the ten-colour PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II and the eight-colour PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II.
The Pro9500 uses Lucia brand pigment-based inks, while the Pro9000 takes advantage of ChromaLife100 dye-based inks to make prints up to 13 x 19 inches.
Employing the Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) technology along with a sophisticated 7,680 nozzle print-head structure, the Mark II model provides significantly faster production times delivering one-and-a-half times faster print speeds on A3+ bordered prints than earlier models.
The PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II manages three times faster print speeds over its predecessor, producing a bordered A3+ size print in approximately 83 seconds.
The Canon PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II will be available throughout New Zealand from Authorised Canon resellers from June, the PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II will be available from July.
