Industry rumblings surrounding the alleged release of a new Nikon DSLR have been further fueled by the uncovering of some supposedly leaked images of a D300s. The photography blogosphere has leaped into action after dedicated Nikon-gossip site, Nikon Rumour
posted images of what appears to be an update to the D300. The new images follow an earlier leak displaying screen shots from the mysterious model.
While the shots of the D300s appear similar to the D300, a small but significant difference is evident in the addition of a microphone, suggesting of course video recording capabilities. Electronista
goes further to claim the new camera will feature “720p video recording, an SD storage option, quiet shutter mode, and the ability to continuously shoot at eight frames per second.”
Also doing the rounds are whisperings about a slimmed-down D5000, without video capabilities or the fancy swivel-screen, namely the D3000. Bloggers have deduced the new camera could be a replacement for the 10MP D60.
While it’s still very early days, when it comes to juicy rumours, D-Photo is not above a little scandal and intrigue – but bare in mind there’s no solid proof of any new Nikons… yet!
Stay tuned for further developments as they come to hand, but keep your fingers crossed in the meantime.
