News: GR Digital II Gets Design Honour

Ricoh GR Digital II

Ricoh’s GR Digital II camera has been chosen by the Japan Industrial Designers Association for inclusion in the Design Museum Selection, a collection of objects that best represent their particular place in time. One of 41 products from 33 companies selected this year, the GR Digital II has a compact body of only 25mm thick.

Released in 2007, the GR Digital II is a continuation of the GR line originally released in 1996. Its quality design has seen the camera used by professional photographers to high-end amateurs.

The GR Digital II will be housed and exhibited as part of the permanent collection of the JIDA Design Museum in Shinshu Shinmachi, Nagano, as well as a planned part of the traveling exhibit that serves to introduce Japanese design across the country and abroad.
