We’re looking for images that capture the joy and freedom of playtime. Pictures which portray the myriad playtime pursuits of people at all ages and stages, where fun and relaxation are the only goal of the players and where time stands still for the play.
We think you’ll find plenty of room to create your own interpretation of this theme and we can’t wait to see your pictures!
Get cracking now for a chance to win fantastic prizes from Canon and Parkside Media, publishers of The Photographer’s Mail!
This is the fifth year we have teamed with Canon to ask the nation’s photographers to submit their best work for our contest.
This year the prize pool’s value is in excess of $5800.00! In addition to the grand prize ( Canon EOS1000D Digital SLR Kit with 18-55mm IS lens and Canon Pixma Pro 9500 A3+ printer worth $2598), there are six Canon Pixma printers to be won, plus four subscriptions to D-Photo magazine!
Entry is absolutely free for all photographers, amateur or professional, adult or child, living in New Zealand and your entry can be produced from either a film or a digital camera.
Once again entries must be in print form – electronic entries in any format are ineligible and will not be accepted.
Prints need to be no smaller than 4×6 inches (10x15cm) and no larger than A4 (8.5×11 inches/21×29.7cm).
An important note: We will only accept one entry per person so you’ll need to be your own harshest critic as you select your entry!
Conditions of Entry along with the entry form are on page 3 of this issue of The Photographer’s Mail.
Entries must be received by close of business on Thursday 9 April 2009.
The contest will be judged by representatives of TPM and Canon.
The results will be published in the June issue of The Photographer’s Mail (issue #187).
Good luck!
