News: Canon PIXMA Range Refreshed

Press Release MP490 MP270-1

Canon has announced the release of a whole new line-up of printers, including two all-in-one PIXMA printers the MP550, and MP560, and the value-for-money PIXMA MP490 and the MP270.

Optimised for digital photography All of the new PIXMA range feature improved Auto Photo Fix II technology, which helps maintain image quality while reproducing the vibrant colours that were first captured in the image. It works to resolve common photo printing errors, such as underexposed images, through Multi-Zone Exposure Correction and improvements in overall face detection, scene analysis plus brightness and saturation correction.

The MP560 is the most compact PIXMA printer to feature wireless capabilities and built-in auto duplex printing, copying, and scanning. The MP550 is an entry-level individual ink tank model, making the printer more economical by allowing users to replace only the colour they need.

The PIXMA MP490 and MP270 both include a self-opening paper tray that prevents paper jams and makes printing hassle-free. New Auto Scan mode makes scanning quicker and easier by automatically recognising the type of original and saving scanned documents as PDF files and photos as JPEG images with one click of the “Scan” button.

The Canon PIXMA MP490 (RRP $129), MP270 (RRP $99), MP550 (RRP $229); MP560 (RRP $249)) will be available from September.
