News: 50pm — new iPad-only photography magazine

Two international photography magazines have joined force to provide a monthly supply of fine photography to the vibrant screen of Apple’s tablet.

Launched this month, 50pm is a new digital photography magazine available for US$1.99 an issue through the iTunes store, exclusively for the iPad.

The result of a partnership between Daylight and Bite! magazines, 50pm offers iPad users instant mobile access to documentary and art photography from across the globe.

Each issue will be built around a theme, such as the current issue’s subject ‘family matters’. Issue Two, on sale January 15, will focus on the theme of ‘sports’.

The first issue is described as an inspirational collection of images from four diverse artists, each reflecting on the value of family.

“It covers American family life of various social classes and a Japanese family set against a recreation of paradise,” says the editorial team.

“Each of these artists has connected with their family to create a beautiful, strong and often touching photo story.”

Head over to iTunes to purchase issue one of 50pm, or sample a video preview of the magazine here.
