D-Photo Nikon Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition 2012 – Online Entry
Nikon and D-Photo are happy to announce we are now accepting entries to New Zealand’s premiere amateur photography competition. The D-Photo Nikon Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition 2012 gives you the chance to win over $6000 worth of prizes.
This year’s grand prize includes a Nikon D7000 kit with AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR lens, new Nikon SB-910 Speedlight, Manfrotto 190XB aluminium tripod, Manfrotto 496RC2 ball head and new Lowepro Urban Photo Sling, with a combined value of over $3700.
There are six categories again this year: Travel, Landscape, Monochrome, People, Creative and special themed category, ‘Nikon Motion’.
Entries close at 5pm Monday, June 25 – please read the terms and conditions carefully before entering.

Terms and Conditions:
- The D-Photo Nikon Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition 2012 is only open to residents of New Zealand.
- Submitted images should not have been previously published (image sharing websites and personal blogs are alright).
- Only photographers not earning their primary income from photography will be eligible to submit entries.
- Previous D-Photo competition entries are not eligible.
- File naming: Please name your files firstname-lastname-category.jpg to avoid confusion and so we can easily find your photo, e.g. jane-smith-landscape.jpg.
- Each image may be entered into one category only.
- A maximum of one entry per category is allowed.
- Submit files in JPG format only
- 2000px high/wide maximum
– anything bigger is automatically rejected by our system. - 1.5Mb maximum (i.e. 1500kb)
– anything bigger is automatically rejected by our system. - To enter you must be the photographer of all submitted content and either the legal copyright holder or have permission from the copyright holder.
- You fully indemnify D-Photo and its sponsors against any claims arising from third parties in the event that your submitted image infringes intellectual, property or model rights if published by D-Photo and its sponsors for promotion or acknowledgment of the competition and/or exhibition.
- Entrants retain copyright to their images and agree that material submitted may be used in whole or in part by D-Photo and its sponsors for promotion or acknowledgment of the competition and/or exhibition.
- Entrants agree submitted material may be cropped for editorial and layout purposes and that such altered images may be credited to them.
- Winners will be chosen by a panel of industry experts, including representatives from Nikon.
- People’s choice will be awarded to the single image with the greatest number of ‘likes’ on its individual display page at www.dphoto.co.nz.
- Non-compliance with the competition criteria will disqualify entries.
- Award prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Special conditions (clearly stated in sponsors' award vouchers) may apply to non-cash prizes, e.g. they may be subject to availability.
- Deadline for entries is 5:00pm (NZDT) Monday, June 25, 2012. No entries will be accepted after this date.
