Don’t mind the demolition job Mary. I like your picture a lot and I disagree with somebody’s take of it being another boring beach pic. IT IS a popularity contest and your photo seems to be popular enough to merit a lot of debate.

Besides, I’d bet my ole analog Nikon SLR that some of these critics have their own entries (especially the persistent ones *wink wink*) and are just trying to convince people not to vote for you because their own entries a) aren’t doing well or b) are being threatened by your overall rating. It’s a given that at least some of your friends will be voting for you. So what?

thanks trev for your comment. I think this image stands out because of its simplicity. That’s one thing i have learned from my mentor in photography… he always emphasized this thing about composing the image
